miOhm was built to solve a problem we kept seeing in the UK utility sector: small and medium-sized businesses were being asked by their enterprise clients to submit carbon data — and had no practical, affordable way to produce it.
The tools that existed were built for large enterprises. Complex to set up, expensive to run, and requiring sustainability expertise most SMEs simply don't have. The spreadsheet alternatives were error-prone and never accepted by procurement teams.
The arrival of Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) changed everything. For the first time, every UK business with an electricity meter has access to granular, accurate consumption data — 48 readings per day. miOhm is built to turn that data into something actionable: a carbon report you can actually use.
